You can use some information on the island of St. Martin in my blog. First,
I want to say something about the island of St. Martin is not exactly
big is a small island in the northeast of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km
south of the tip of Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and the formation of the southernmost part of Bangladesh. Saint Martin is situated about 8 km west of the northwest coast of Myanmar at the mouth of the river Naf. The
local name of the island is "Narical Gingira" also written "Narikel
Jinjira / Jinjera", translated from Bangla, meaning 'Coconut Island'. It is the only coral island in Bangladesh.
Here i short, most of the island of 5,500 inhabitants live mainly from fishing. In addition, other staple crops are rice and coconuts. Because it is very common on the island, algae collected, dried and then exported to Myanmar. Between October and April, fishermen from neighboring areas bring the fish market temporarily captured the island in bulk. If the center and south are mostly farmland and makeshift huts, most intense things around the northern tip of the island.
Now here I have some information about hotels. Nijhum Motel is one of the best hotels in St Maarten. Without this, Prashad Paradise and Bilash Sraboni are also well known hotels. All these hotels are located near the coast.
There are no taxis waiting here, paved roads or electricity. With the exception of the larger hotels that are running on generators, no electricity on the island. The island is about sun, sea and palm trees. During the day, the island is filled with water and beach sports, beach parties and bonfires of the night skies.
St. Maarten has become a popular tourist spotin the world. Currently, three tours are scheduled daily to the island, including the sea-Truck and Keary Sindbad. Tourists can book their trip either from Chittagong or from Cox's Bazar. The coral reef surrounding the island has an extension named Chera Dwip. A small bush is there, that's all green Chera Dwip, enhancing the beauty of this island. People do not live in this part of the island, so it is advisable for tourists to go there early and return at noon.
Normally, you get the best weather usually between November and February. Undoubtedly this is the main tourist season. Between March and July, a tourist to keep their eyes focused on the forecast, such as cyclones can hit these days. The island was devastated by a cyclone in 1991, but recovered completely and was not affected by the tsunami in 2004. Therefore, from March to July is out of the tourist season.
In the last 5 years the population of St. Martin of visitors has increased enormously. While this has proved lucrative for the islanders, which is caused by the natural beauty of the island to deteriorate. Today
there are many efforts by the various endangered species of turtles
that nest on the island, but also corals, some of which are found only
in Jinjera Narikel coverage. Pieces of coral reefs are removed to be sold to tourists.nesting turtles are sometimes taken for food, and their offspring are
often distracted by the flashing lights along the beach. Fish species, some newly discovered fishing. Each year, the fishermen go to sea for their catch. Most of them use non-motorized vessels.
You
can walk around the island in one day, as it measures only 8 sq km (3
sq mi), shrinking to about 5 square kilometers (2 square miles) at high
tide. The island only exists because of the coral base, so eliminating the risk that the erosion of coral beaches. Unfortunately, San Martin has lost about 25% of its coral reef in the last 7 years.
Here you will get some pictures of St. Martin's Island .
